Alice Chen Smith obtained a B.A. from the University of Chicago and her J.D. from Loyola Law School.

Her primary focus is litigating catastrophic personal injury cases, products liability and business litigation matters. She practices throughout the State of California in trial and appellate courts. Her results-oriented work and civility has led to her recognition as a Super Lawyer, Leader of Influence: Minority Attorneys by the Los Angeles Business Journal, a Lawdragon 500 Leading Litigators, and nominee to the Los Angeles Times Inspirational Women Forum & Leadership Awards.
Alice was born in Taiwan and grew up in Maryland. Outside of work, she enjoys cooking, traveling, and being a mother to her two children.
Alice is President of the Association of Southern California Defense Counsel (ASCDC), and the Association of Business Trial Lawyers (ABTL) and will be its President in 2027. Alice also serves on the Los Angeles Chapter of American Board of Trial Advocates (ABOTA) as its Membership Chair. She is also a member of Southern California Chinese Lawyers Association (SCCLA) and LACBA President’s Advisory Committee on Women in the Legal Profession.
