Jeremy L. Tissot brings a unique background to his industry leading role in representing seriously injured Plaintiffs for more than 18 years in high stakes cases. Mr. Tissot began trying multiple cases to juries very early in his career at one of the largest defense firms in California, where he became the firm’s youngest partner ever and was first chair on catastrophic injury cases–he then helmed a transformation of the firm to a new age of practice areas and began handling primarily plaintiff’s cases including leading major consumer and employment class action cases, while also building a serious personal injury client base. He led the LA team on the landmark class action against Radio Shack that resolved for $29.9 million and was the appointed lead class counsel on several major Class Actions against high profile retailers that resulted in eight figure recoveries.

He is regarded by colleagues and insurance companies alike as a true trial lawyer & is often associated by pre-litigation firms, and even 11th hour, in to cases – due to his courtroom theatrical ability and unique tactics used to bring immense new value to cases–much of this gleaned from having tried cases for insurance cos. in his ‘former llfe’ and his deep understanding of how the “other half thinks.” which allows him to exert pressure at key points and pull back the curtain on insurance co. shams. His concentration is litigating and trying to juries challenging Traumatic Brain Injury, Major Spine injury/surgery and catastrophic injury cases.
Among his numerous positions: he is a longtime Sustaining Member of CAALA; member of the President’s Club and Sustaining Member of CAOC. He also dedicates a great deal of his time giving back both through mentoring and his leading role in charity organizations. Mr. Tissot sits on the Board of Directors of Los Angeles Trial Lawyers’ Charities (LATLC) which has given back more than three million dollars to partner local LA charities alone. In December 2021, Mr. Tissot was awarded the coveted “Presidential Award For Outstanding Dedication & Services to LATLC.” He has won numerous other awards in his distinguished legal career.
Mr. Tissot is also a highly sought after speaker and legal commentator both throughout California and on a national level, including for FOX Business and at some of the largest legal events and teaching platforms in the country including TBI Med Legal where he is a faculty member, featured speaker and often requested co-host. He has spoken to thousands of lawyers in a single engagement and has one of the most watched Med Legal Webinars in history, with over 6,000 viewers. He was also the host and lead presenter on a key panel re Spinal injuries and surgeries at the Law-Di-Gras Conference in July 2021 and has been a requested featured speaker and host for numerous other events and prominent medical-legal organizations/media including CSIMS, Global/PCHIPA, Doctors For Accidents, “Under the Knife” and PIMM (Personal Injury Mastermind) podcast, among others, nationally.
During holiday replay week 2021 – two of Mr. Tissot’s Webinars were chosen to air on TBI MED LEGAL out of six total and were chosen from over 300 webjams due to their high ratings and popularity. He has been consistently rated as one of the top speakers and presenters at both live and virtual events where he has been asked to speak.
Mr. Tissot’s early advocacy/speaking successes included winning Best Oral Advocate of the entire Pepperdine Law School as only a 2nd year student where he was also a distinguished graduate as an editor of the Pepperdine Law Review.
In 2020 he was named to lead the Education committee for the TBI Med Legal/Brian Injury Association of California and is also is on the Faculty of the Med Legal Institute.
Most recently, Mr. Tissot was chosen by Robert Simon/The Bourbon of Proof Tour to be a Grand Marshall and featured presenter at this groundbreaking event in Louisville, Kentucky.
